Week Four Update

It’s week four of following Joel Marion’s Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight! If you’ve been with me since the beginning, you will recall that we’ve learned the logistics of the diet in my first post, what makes Always Eat After 7 PM stand out in my second post, and how it’s been helping me achieve my goals in my third post. Now that it’s officially been four weeks, I’m excited to say that the Always Eat After 7 PM diet is as effective and easy to follow as I’d hope it would be.

As I’ve noticed positive changes in both my weight (down 8 lbs!) and energy, I intend to maintain the Always Eat After 7 PM diet. I plan to make this diet a lifestyle by incorporating intermittent fasting, allowing myself to eat carbs, and eating the majority of my calories at night.

Eating Smart

Allowing myself to eat carbs has been difficult for me because I’ve found success in losing weight by strictly avoiding them. However, the weight loss success I have found by strongly restricting my carb intake has always been temporary. ”Fact is, most diets are extremely narrow with regard to food choices and variety, and many even limit entire macronutrients altogether over the course of the entire program (think low-carb and low-fat diets). Three months with no carbs? No thanks. Such practices not only are entirely unnecessary but make for a miserable, unsustainable experience.”.

My hope is that on Joel Marion’s diet I will be able to lose that weight and then some AND keep that weight off! I’m optimistic that this will be possible because the Always Eat After 7 PM diet isn’t highly restrictive.

Carbs aren’t the enemy

An important lesson that I’ve learned from Joel Marion’s Always Eat After 7 PM is that carbs aren’t the enemy. In fact, carbs are necessary. And, the type of carbs you eat and when you eat them is more important than trying to avoid them. Always Eat After 7 PM teaches you that not all carbs are created equal while helping you determine the carbs you should be eating.

Realistic dieting not restrictive dieting

What I love about Always Eat After 7 PM is that it takes a different and realistic approach to dieting. It doesn’t deprive you, harm you, or set unrealistic expectations. As Joel says,  “People everywhere subject themselves to lives of starvation dieting and exercising hell, and none of it is working. They crave food, walk around hungry all day, and miss out on one of life’s great pleasures—eating good food. And when they fail, as most dieters will, they feel guilty and full of self-hatred. But they haven’t failed. Those diets have failed them.” Joel is here to help us succeed. All of the information within his book shows just how much he wants to help. With Joel Marion’s expertise in fitness and nutrition, he’s created a simple and highly effective program to lose weight. It’s like having a personal health coach without all the cost.

If you’re looking to improve your health and diet but can’t afford a dietician, Joel Marion’s new book is the next best thing.
