- avoid common pitfalls in creating your profile; and
- live out the truth that you are God’s beloved.

“Gives you concrete steps for dating well, from the beginning to the end, all while reminding you just how loved you already are.”—Chrystal Evans Hurst, bestselling author and speaker
“With humor, wisdom, and practical answers, Margot’s heart and voice shine through this book, and I can’t wait to send it to my single friends!” —Bianca Juarez Olthoff, pastor, speaker, and author of the bestselling How to Have Your Life Not Suck
My Thoughts:
The Grown Woman’s Guide to Online Dating by Margot Starbuck is an insightful book full of advice for women dipping their toes into online dating for the first time or the first time in a long time. Though the book is geared towards women in their fifties and older, I also learned important dating advice from reading it. Margot breaks down the stigmas of online dating and gives helpful advice on taking the leap, creating a high-value profile, writing a strong first message, and including the right pictures in your profile.
I really loved the chapter on releasing old patterns and welcoming new ones which could include changing the type of people you date and the kind of behavior you accept. The quote “The right person for you might be someone you consider boring” really struck a nerve with me because I know that I have mistaken chemistry for toxicity. I also appreciated that this book touched on how your childhood ties into the type of people you are attracted to.
Overall, The Grown Woman’s Guide to Online Dating is a good read that helps women step into the world of online dating.

I felt like the releasing old patterns section was so great as well, because I feel like that can be applied to MANY areas of our lives in general. Even with friendships. Thank you for being on this tour! Sara @ TLC Book Tours
